THINK FIRST, STAY SECURE
Fraud can feel overwhelming, but taking a moment to pause and think before responding puts you back in control. These simple steps go a long way in protecting both you and your accounts.
What You Can Do
Take a moment. Fraudsters will pressure you to act fast, so you don’t have time to think. Take some time to pause and evaluate before proceeding.
Trace the source. If someone contacts you unexpectedly, hang up or stop replying, and instead find the company’s real phone number or website to confirm the request.
Talk it through. If something feels off, don’t hesitate to check in with a friend or family member. Getting a second opinion is smart, especially when it comes to staying safe.
